The default program is daily at your chosen time, or custom which must be specified when ordering. For example: twice a day, once a week, every other day, etc. The timer is disabled by default and enabled by removing a jumper
The FreshFlow will monitor low level switch state between cycles. If it detects a break in the cable, the drain cycle will be disabled and the unit will then revert to top up only for water lost by evaporation at the next cycle. This is to avoid completely draining the tank. There is a fail-safe on over-filling and over-draining the aquarium based on the previous drain time and the previous fill time of the cycle

Then you decide how quickly or slowly you want a water change to occur

Box dimensions are 100x100mm for wall positioning excluding rubber ports.
For a permanent installation, you may wish to have a water supply and drainage plumbed into your home.
